Compared with all the other video editing tools I have used, for example, Pinnacle Ultimate, Sony Vegas Ultimate and PowerDirector, AVS Video Editor is the best one. But I think it still needs to be improved in the following aspects:
1. If the files in the media library are used on the timeline, make a mark on them;
2. Enable users to make titles from scratch;
3. Enable users to make pan and zoom for images from scratch;
4. Make a free music generator and match the music with timeline of the movie.

These are all my suggestions. I hope the developers can have a try.

I also have a complaint that the timeline can’t stop at the exact place I want it to and the user interface is not clear enough for me.

But it is generally good for intermediate users.

AVS Video Editor is handy and clear. I’m an old user of this software. Now I’m using the latest version.

AVS Video Editor is simple enough for a novice. Now I am getting more and more familiar with its features, and I always try to find new functions of it.

I often use AVS Video Editor to create DVDs. It supports most of the formats, even flash, that’s very useful, as YouTube videos are all flash format.

The rendering/processing is common, but it depends a lot on computer performance. My computer setting is 8GB RAM + Quad Core, this makes the effect quite different.

I also use AVS Video Editor to edit many different videos, like my wedding video and my daughter’s project. It is really helpful.

AVS Video Editor burn DVDs as well. It also supports many other output formats and different medias.

Before deciding to use AVS Video Editor, I did many researches. Obviously, it is the best one for common users. The price is also fair.

It is easy to operate, with rich features. The output is very good. If you are not a professional pursuing super effect, it can totally meet your needs.

It only crashed for once. Now I remind myself constantly to save the product in time during working.

AVS Video Editor is handy, there are many teaching videos telling me about the functions of this software.

However, AVS video editor doesn’t have good technical support. I once had a problem, but more than a month later, I still didn’t get any answer. I tried to request my question on the support page, but I couldn’t enter it because of the invalid password, so I asked for a new password. Though they said they have sent me the new one through email, I didn’t receive the email even after I tried for 6 times.

Another big problem about AVS Video Editor is the sound is occasionally not in sync. The sound can’t match with the actors’ lips. I’m wondering whether this problem can be solved. There is no any teaching video about this problem. All the teaching videos are about adding sound, no one for the sync problem.

If you want to do basic editing, AVS Video Editor is a good choice. It can totally satisfy my needs. I haven’t used the scene transition function yet, but the commercial editing and DVD burning functions are very good.

AVS Video Editor is the only software that can open VOB files. Even Pinnacle doesn’t support VOB format. What’s more, there is no quality loss during video editing. I love this good software. It is worth recommending. After trying the trial version, I bought the full version without hesitation.

Compared with AVS Video Editor, Avid, Premiere and Final Cut have richer features, but AVS Video Editor works faster and more easily in making videos, and the output is also very good. You will find it really worth trying. It has many transitions. It includes a good title editing tool. It can even cut off solid colors. It is worth recommending.
